MasonMade Ventures

MasonMade is more than private equity, venture capital — it's the entrepreneurial vision of Joe Scaretta and Moses Carrasco, who've been challenging the status quo for more than two decades.

The name itself reflects their journey of building successful businesses from the ground up. Leveraging their expertise in facilities management and experience in private equity, Joe and Moses founded a different kind of holding company that operates on a people-first philosophy with entrepreneurial agility. 

MasonMade invests in and acquires businesses while leaning on deep industry experience and diligent analysis for decision-making to streamline operations, drive sustainable growth, and stay true to the vision of each acquired business.

 

  • Launched Empire Facilities Management Group, with a vision to differentiate and challenge current market practices

  • Began Nextel national relationship

  • Nextel/Sprint Merger transition retail rebranding partner

  • Launched National HVAC Division

  • Launched National Graphic Installation Services

  • Acquired Nationwide security company, A-OK Security & Maintenance specializing in guard services, doors, locks and store front gate systems

  • Sprint Service Leader Award Winner and Guess Retail Most Valuable Partner

    Centralized warehouse for warehousing and distribution of key customer parts and materials

  • Developed and implemented retail energy management solution for key multi-site operator

    Charterhouse Private Equity acquired Empire Facilities Management Group and rebrands as FrontStreet Facility Solutions

  • Launched Social Good initiative: New York Young Entrepreneur Challenge (NYYEC) In partnership with Sprint and Capital One Bank

  • FrontStreet Facility Solutions makes Inc. 5000

  • Launched CS Hudson, providing traditional industry services with a focus on becoming a leader in capital expenditure work, through expensive GC vetting and enhancement of local performing partners. 

    Expanded partnership, promoting two key legacy employees to founding partners: Desiree Russo, VP of Operations, and Todd Bernstein, VP of Development.  

  • Launched CS4Good, Pops ups for Good initiative 

  • Achieved Largest revenue and service territory expansion since inception of CS Hudson partnership 

    Expanded services through a company-wide initiative to certify members in Mold Remediation Services

  • Continued certification and in-depth training of Mold/Asbestos certification, testing, and scope

  • CS Hudson makes Inc. 5000

    Expanded service offering to provide competitive rental equipment related to heating/cooling, remediation, and sanitation equipment 

  • Expanded into key industry verticals Med-Tail and Gas & Convenience 

  • CS Hudson acquired by Orion Services

    Integrated American Project & Repair into CS Hudson in under 60 days

  • CS Hudson makes Inc. 5000, then Joe and Moses exit CS Hudson

  • Founded MasonMade Ventures

 

From Then to Now

Joe and Moses embarked on their entrepreneurial journey in the early 2000’s , founding Empire Facilities Management Group and quickly securing national clients Nextel, Claires, and NineWest. Navigating a major merger and subsequent rebranding, they expanded services and earned accolades from industry giants like Sprint and Guess. Five years after a successful acquisition by Charterhouse Private Equity, they founded CS Hudson in 2017, achieving further recognition with multiple Inc. 5000 appearances. Six years later CS Hudson was acquired by Orion Services, Joe and Moses successfully exited the business, paving the way for their next venture — MasonMade Ventures.
